Commenting on the appointment of Newspoint PR, Pete Petrondas, managing director of Eazyfone said: "We had met with a number of marketing and PR agencies but selected Newspoint because of the quality of service that they provide, their organisational skills and the way they approach a challenge. They will be working with us on all aspects of our marketing communications including helping to build the Eazyfone brand as we extend our recycling campaigns to charities as well as increasing the number of schools taking part in the Fones4Schools campaign."

He continued: "Newspoint has a refreshingly honest approach and explained very clearly how they would be helping us grow our business. We know that as we grow they will grow to meet our needs."

As part of the brief members of the Newspoint team will provide strategic marketing communications consultancy, develop tactical marketing programs and assist the in-house team to implement new communications programmes. These will include public relations, creative design, direct marketing and e-marketing.

Robert Fox, director of Newspoint PR said: "It is less than eighteen months since we launched Newspoint and the appointment by Eazyfone is a real coup for us. We are really looking forward to working with the company on all aspects of their marketing. Our appointment shows that clients value our up-front approach to a relationship as we are one of a growing number of agencies in the region that are successfully challenging and beating much larger businesses in our industry."

Newspoint PR was relaunched by Robert Fox and Alan Ward in July 2003 following Rob's return from active service in the Gulf where he worked as the British Army spokesman with the BBC to make the "Fighting the War" TV documentary.
